Lydia Lye was appointed Head, Communications for Touch ‘n Go on 15 June 2022. In her current role, she is responsible for the overall communications strategy for Touch 'n Go, aligning the company's corporate identity and business objectives across various stakeholder groups, and driving key corporate messages via multiple communication channels.
Lydia has more than 20 years of diverse communications experience across various industries.
Prior to joining Touch ‘n Go, she headed external communications at Berjaya Corporation Berhad, leading the charge in media relations, corporate branding, crisis communications and event management at the corporate level. She also managed the production of the Group’s annual reports and other corporate publications.
Before Berjaya, she was responsible for internal and external communications, brand management, and corporate social responsibility during her tenure as Assistant Vice President, Corporate Communications at OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad.
Lydia began her career managing marketing communications and public relations in the hotel industry where she honed her skills as a pre-opening specialist having been part of the pre-opening teams at each of the hotels she worked at.
She graduated from Universiti Sains Malaysia with a Bachelor of Communications (Honours) degree, majoring in Film and Broadcasting. She also has certification as a Solution Focused Coach.
