Chief Operations Officer
Mohd Halmi Mohd Hassan joined on 14 February 2019 and is Touch ‘n Go’s Chief Operations Officer. Halmi is responsible for managing the critical backbone that oversees the organization's ongoing operations via systematic direction and control of processes that transforms the business into finished services for B2C, B2B and B2G customers. He leads the Operations Division transformation and culture realignment, culminating multiple efforts to enhance service levels, implement higher quality customer experience and executing company-wide operations streamlining to ensure operating efficiency and effectiveness as well as to support the revenue growth within the Touch ‘n Go Group.
Halmi is an experienced professional, with wide expertise in operations management; process controls and improvements; governance, risk and controls; data and statistical analytics; and continuous control monitoring. His experience ranges from the industry of electronics manufacturing, expressways operations specifically toll operations and electronic payment system.
Prior to joining Touch ‘n Go, Halmi was Head of Division, Operations Excellence at PLUS Malaysia. He joined PLUS Group of Companies as Assistant Manager, Toll Operations and moved in various departments, divisions and roles within the group; amongst others toll operations, internal audit, revenue assurance and operations excellence. He rose within the ranks through performance and promotions.
Prior to that, Halmi was the Process Control Engineer with Texas Instruments (M) Sdn Bhd, covering the Malaysian operations. He was a certified Statistical Process Control practitioner and trainer focusing on quality assurance and process optimization.
Halmi holds a degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada.
