1.         What are the Campaign’s terms and conditions?

a)    All applications must be submitted from 1 March 2023 to 31 March 2023 and the policy/certificate must be activated by 17 April 2023.

b)    AIA Vitality membership must be signed up or active upon new policy/certificate submission and must remain active prior to and upon the payment of cashback.

c)     Policy/certificate owner who does not download and login to My AIA app by 31 May 2023 will not be eligible for cashback.

d)    Only policies/certificates that opt to pay online via payment link or credit / debit card for all premium / contribution payment frequencies will be eligible for cashback.

e)    Customers of A-Life Wealth Treasure, A-Life Wealth Premier, A-Life Wealth Builder and A-Life Legasi Beyond who fall into any one or more of the following categories will not be eligible for cashback:

·         Did not opt for premium / contribution payment term of 10 years & above,

·         Did not invest in selected AIA Investment-Linked Funds as stated in Question 10,

·         Performed full fund switching to AIA Fixed Income Fund, AIA Dana Bon and/or A-Dana Income.

f)     The cashback does not include any saver and top-up premium / contribution such as A-Plus Saver/i, A-Plus ScholarSaver, A-Plus Ikhtiar Enhancer, A-Plus LegasiEnhancer and AIA Vitality membership fees.

g)    If the customer makes any transaction after the policy / certificate has been activated that requires additional premium / contribution from policy/certificate inception (e.g. increasing coverage amount or adding riders), the additional premium / contribution will not be calculated in the cashback. If the customer reduces the premium / contribution after the policy / certificate has been activated, the cashback shall be based on the reduced premium / contribution.

h)    The policyholder / certificate owner must ensure that the policy / certificate meets all the campaign criteria as per the above (refer to the campaign package table in Question 4 and terms and conditions in Question 6) prior to and upon payment of cashback such as but not limited to AIA Vitality membership, rider attachment criteria (if any), annualised premium / contribution criteria (if any) and e-payment criteria.

i)      The Campaign’s terms and conditions are subject to change and the decision of AIA Bhd. and AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd. on any matter concerning these terms and conditions are final.

 

2.         How and when will the cashback payment be made?

The cashback amount will be reflected in the policy/certificate owner’s My AIA app at the end of April 2024, provided that the Campaign requirements are fulfilled and My AIA app is downloaded. Instructions on how to select their cashback pay-out option on My AIA app will be made available to the customer at the end of April 2024.

 

All fees and charges (if any) including partial withdrawal and surrender charges would apply if the customer performed any withdrawal from the policy/certificate including the credited cashback amount.

ELIGIBILITY

 

3.         Is the saver/rider premium / contribution included to calculate the minimum annualised premium/contribution criteria?

Yes, the minimum annualised premium / contribution is based on the total premium / contribution amount inclusive of A-Plus Saver/i, A-Plus ScholarSaver, A-Plus Ikhtiar Enhancer, A-Plus LegasiEnhancer and any rider premium / contribution.

 

4.         Does the cashback include any saver and top-up premium / contribution such as A-Plus Saver/i, A-Plus ScholarSaver, A-Plus Ikhtiar Enhancer, A-Plus LegasiEnhancer and AIA Vitality membership fees?

No, the cashback amount to be credited is not inclusive of any saver and top-up premium / contribution such as A-Plus Saver/i, A-Plus ScholarSaver, A-Plus Ikhtiar Enhancer, A-Plus LegasiEnhancer and AIA Vitality membership fees.

 

5.         Which selected AIA Investment Linked Funds will be used in the cashback calculation for A-Life Wealth Treasure, A-Life Wealth Premier, A-Life Wealth Builder and/or A-Life Legasi Beyond?

The selected AIA Investment Linked Funds for A-Life Wealth Treasure, A-Life Wealth Premier AND A-Life Wealth Builder are:

a)     AIA Strategic Equity Fund

b)     AIA Strategic Fixed Income Fund

c)      AIA Elite Conservative Fund

d)     AIA Elite Adventurous Fund

POLICY/CERTIFICATE LIMITS AND UNDERWRITING

 

6.         Are there any underwriting requirements for the Campaign?

Yes, applications submitted through the Campaign are subject to full underwriting. Customers who sign up for Total Wealth Solution products will enjoy higher medical underwriting limit based on disclosure in application form and higher financial limit for Large Amount Questionnaire Part I & II up to RM 8million.The higher underwriting limit will help make the application process more seamless and hassle-free for the customer. 7.         What is the minimum coverage amount requirement for the Campaign?

There is no specific minimum coverage amount to qualify for the Campaign. Existing product coverage amount shall apply.

 

PREMIUM / CONTRIBUTION

 

8.         What is the premium / contribution payment requirement for the Campaign?

Only policies/certificates that are paid online through payment link sent by AIA via SMS or via credit / debit card for all premium / contribution payment frequencies will be eligible for cashback.

 

9.         What is the premium / contribution payment frequency?

Premium / contribution can be paid annually, semi-annually, quarterly and monthly.

 

10.      How does the Cashback work and how is the Cashback amount calculated?

By joining the Campaign and enrolling in the AIA Vitality programme, customers can get up to 3 months’ cashback on their annualised premium / contribution when they fulfil the Campaign requirements.

POLICY/CERTIFICATE SERVICING

 

11.      Can I add riders after my policy/certificate has been activated?

Yes, policyholder/certificate owner can attach other rider(s) subject to existing business rules and requirements. However, any additional premium / contribution from the additional riders or benefits will not be eligible for cashback.

 

The addition of a rider for A-Life Beyond Critical Care is allowed within the first policy/certificate year, subject to underwriting. The policyholder/certificate owner is required to pay the outstanding premium / contribution for the additional rider from policy/certificate inception.

 

12.      Can I increase the basic coverage amount after the policy/certificate has been activated?

Yes, policyholder/certificate owner can increase the basic coverage amount subject to existing business rules and requirements. However, any additional premium / contribution from the increase in basic coverage amount will not be eligible for cashback.

 

13.      Can I change the fund allocation for A-Life Wealth Treasure, A-Life Wealth Premier, A-Life Wealth Builder and/or A-Life Legasi Beyond after the policy/certificate has been activated?

Yes, policyholder/certificate owner can change the fund allocation for A-Life Wealth Treasure, A-Life Wealth Premier, A-Life Wealth Builder and/or A-Life Legasi Beyond from the list of selected AIA Investment Linked Funds stated in Question 10 at any time before the policy / certificate expires. However, the cashback amount to be credited will be based on the fund allocation upon policy/certificate inception or fund allocation prior to cashback crediting, whichever is lower.

Note: Fund selection should always be based on the customer’s risk profile. To ensure that customers are aware of their fund selection, AIA will conduct welcome call on policies/certificates which have any mismatch in fund selection and risk profile.

 

14.      Under what circumstances would I not be entitled to receive the cashback?

a)    Customers who did not pay premium / contribution on time and within grace period, surrendered policy / certificate, performed partial withdrawal and/or changed payment method to non e-payment prior to the crediting of cashback for the policy / certificate that has been submitted under this campaign.

b)    For policy / certificate of A-Life Wealth Premier, A-Life Wealth Builder, A-Life Wealth Treasure and A-Life Legasi Beyond,

a.    Customers did not invest in selected AIA Investment Linked Funds as stated in Question 10; or

b.    Customers changed to invest in funds other than those stated in Question 10 after the inception of the policy / certificate for future premium; or

c.     Customers performed fund switching to funds other than those stated in Question 10.

c)    Policy/certificate with lapse history.

d)    Policy/certificate does not fulfil the annualised premium / contribution criteria before the cashback is credited.

e)    Policy/certificate owner does not download and login to My AIA app by 31 May 2023.

f)     Insured / Person Covered of A-LifeLink 2, A-Life Beyond Critical Care, A-Life Ikhtiar, A-Life Wealth Premier, A-Life Wealth Builder, A-Life Legasi Beyond and A-Life Med Regular, is not an AIA Vitality member before the cashback is credited.

Policy/certificate owner of A-Life Joy Xtra, A-Life Ikhtiar Child Solution and A-Life Wealth Treasure is not an AIA Vitality member before the cashback is credited.
