If the Covered Person is diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, Schizophrenia or Bipolar Disorder by a Psychiatrist, We will reimburse the Reasonable and Customary Charges for the Psychiatrist consultation fees incurred:

AIA+ app users

Up to RM500 per visit for 2 visits

Non-AIA+ app user

Up to RM250 per visit for 2 visits

Note: Medications are not covered under the Free MindCare Cover.

Notes:

  • The status of the AIA+ app user and non-AIA+ app user at point of claim will be used to determine the benefit payable.

  • Each Covered Person is limited to signing up this Free MindCare Cover only ONCE during the registration and coverage periods.

  • A waiting period of 30 days from the registration date applies.

  • This free cover is subject to a total claim limit of RM 1million (combined limit for all free covers offered by AIA Bhd., AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd., and AIA General Berhad).

  • This Free MindCare Cover is offered by AIA Bhd. and AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd.

  • Please refer to Appendix 1 for the definitions.

  1. When can I sign up for Free MindCare Cover?You can sign up for this free cover from 1 August 2024 until 30 September 2024. 

  2. Who is eligible for Free MindCare Cover?To be eligible for this free cover, one needs to be: (a) A Malaysian citizen residing in Malaysia; and (b) Between 18 to 60 years old.

  3. How can I sign up for Free MindCare Cover?You can reach out to any AIA Life Planner who will guide you to sign up through the dedicated microsite. If you do not know any AIA Life Planner, please email us at MY.Customer@aia.com and provide your Name, Contact No. and Current Location (e.g., Kepong, Kuala Lumpur) and include “Free MindCare Cover” in the email subject. We will assign a dedicated AIA Life Planner to assist you with the registration.

  4. What is Free MindCare Cover’s coverage period?The coverage period is effective upon successful registration until 31 July 2025, subject to 30 days waiting period, or upon reaching a total claims limit of RM1 million (combined limit for all the free covers offered by AIA Bhd., AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd., and AIA General Berhad), whichever is earlier. AIA reserves the right to withdraw this Free MindCare Cover at any time with prior notice via AIA’s corporate website. 

  5. I am a Malaysian and currently residing outside of Malaysia. Am I eligible for the Free MindCare Cover?No. The Free MindCare Cover is only eligible for Malaysians residing in Malaysia.

  6. Does Free MindCare cover have any exclusions?Yes, the following exclusions shall apply:

  7. Any claims arising directly/indirectly from any one of the following occurrences:

    Any pre-existing conditions or illnesses prior to or arising within the first thirty (30) days of the effective date of the cover;

    Any violation or attempted violation of the law; or

    Intoxication by substance, alcohol or drugs not prescribed by a medical practitioner.
