Touch ‘n Go Group Supports Launch of Visit Malaysia 2026 at World Tourism Day Celebration

Melaka, 1 October 2025 – Touch ’n Go Group participated in the official launch of Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026), officiated by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The event, organized by Tourism Malaysia in collaboration with the State Government of Melaka, was held in conjunction with World Tourism Day (WTD) and the World Tourism Conference (WTC) at Encore Melaka from 26-28 September 2025.

As part of the Group’s participation, Touch ’n Go Sdn Bhd (“Touch ’n Go”) showcased its range of mobility payment products at the booth, including Touch ’n Go cards and charms. In conjunction with the event, the company also announced its upcoming exclusive VM2026-themed cards and charms, designed with the official VM2026 logo, mascots, and cultural motifs. These commemorative products will be both fully functional payment instruments for mobility and memorable keepsakes. The NFC-enabled cards and charms can be used for toll, transit, and parking, reflecting the Group’s commitment to celebrating Malaysia’s cultural heritage while enabling seamless mobility payments across the country.

Meanwhile, TNG Digital Sdn Bhd (“TNG Digital”) showcased the Touch ’n Go eWallet and its role in enriching travel and tourism experiences through cashless payments. In addition to serving over 24 million verified local users, the Touch ‘n Go eWallet also enables international tourists from ASEAN nations to register using their foreign mobile numbers and conveniently reload their balance with credit or debit cards issued in their home countries upon arrival. By the end of the year, tourists from more than 20 countries, including China, will also be able to register for Touch ‘n Go eWallet.

In collaboration with Tourism Malaysia, Touch ‘n Go eWallet also introduced VM2026 Digital Vouchers and co-branded promotional materials to further support Malaysia’s tourism agenda. These initiatives aim to deliver a truly borderless, cashless payment experience for visitors while strengthening Malaysia’s position as a preferred travel destination.

The three-day celebration featured a wide range of cultural showcases, exhibitions, and performances. Event highlights included appearances by Malaysia’s beloved icons Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza and Misha Omar, as well as traditional performances, exhibitions, and tourism-focused showcases by VM2026 strategic partners.
