TNG eWallet and Easybook sponsor 84 UM Students to “balik kampung”

TNG Digital Sdn. Bhd. ('TNG Digital'), Malaysia's largest integrated fintech player, in collaboration with Easybook, sponsored two buses for 84 students from Universiti Malaya to travel back to their hometowns in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, and Kota Bharu, Kelantan, for Hari Raya Haji.

The meaningful event was officiated by YB Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications, who is also Lembah Pantai Member of Parliament. This initiative is aimed at fostering the cherished culture of togetherness and compassion among the younger generations.

Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital, shared with the students at the event, "Besides reuniting you with your families, we recognise the importance of equipping young generations like yourselves with essential life skills such as financial management, which is most effective when learned early. In the effort of promoting financial inclusion among Malaysians from diverse backgrounds, including young people facing limited access to banking products, we aim to empower you with the knowledge and tools to access financial solutions and learn how to manage finances effectively. Today, our goal is not only to start your journey home but also to begin your path towards enhanced financial literacy."

In line with this initiative, TNG Digital is offering all 84 UM students a complimentary application for the Touch ‘n Go eWallet Visa Card, to kickstart the journey in managing their finances through this convenient and secure platform. This Visa card, linked to their TNG eWallet balance, can be used globally and online to purchase goods and services wherever Visa cards are accepted.

Not only will UM students benefit from this collaboration, but all users can join in the celebration as well. From May 30, 2024, to August 31, 2024, anyone who makes a single transaction of at least RM60 on bus fares through the Easybook Mini Program via TNG eWallet will receive a RM5 cashback voucher for their next purchase.
