TNG Digital Sdn. Bhd. (‘TNG Digital’), the operator of Malaysia’s leading digital financial services and lifestyle app, TNG eWallet, has partnered with Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd (‘MYDIN’) to help families and underserved children manage back-to-school expenses ahead of the 2026 school term.

As parents prepare for the new school year, spending on uniforms and school essentials can place added pressure on household budgets, particularly for lower-income families. Through this collaboration, TNG Digital and MYDIN aim to lessen that burden by making back-to-school purchases more affordable during this peak period.

From 18 December 2025 to 12 January 2026, families who purchase selected Disiplin brand school uniforms for primary and secondary students at participating MYDIN outlets nationwide and pay using TNG eWallet will receive RM5 off each eligible item.  By offering instant savings at the point of purchase, the initiative helps families reduce upfront spending and better manage back-to-school costs.

Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital, said, “The start of a new school year often brings added financial pressure for families, especially when it comes to essential items like uniforms. This collaboration with MYDIN is about offering practical, upfront savings on everyday necessities, while making payments simple, safe and convenient during a busy period. At the same time, we want to ensure that support reaches children who need it most, so they can begin the school year feeling prepared and confident.”

MYDIN and TNG eWallet supporting the community by providing 100 children from B40 families in PPR Lembah Subang 1 and 2, Taman Ladang Jaya, TTDI Jaya, Bukit Gasing and Taman Medan with a full set of school necessities as part of the back-to-school initiative.

Beyond consumer savings, the initiative places strong emphasis on supporting children who face greater barriers to education. As part of the programme, MYDIN and TNG eWallet are jointly supporting 100 children from B40 families in PPR Lembah Subang 1 and 2, Taman Ladang Jaya, TTDI Jaya, Bukit Gasing and Taman Medan, with each child receiving a full set of school necessities to help them begin the new school year prepared, confident and ready to learn.

Executive Director of MYDIN, Ahimmat Mydin, said the initiative reflects our role as a community-focused retailer committed to keeping daily necessities accessible, while continuing to give back to communities where we operate through the MYDIN Prihatin initiative. “In collaboration with strategic partners such as TNG eWallet, the effort aims to ease the financial burden on families and students, particularly during key milestones such as the start of the new school year.”

The collaboration reflects TNG Digital’s Tech4Good sustainability pillar, which focuses on using technology to create meaningful social impact by supporting social well-being, enabling economic participation, and ensuring that no one is left behind. By integrating digital payments with everyday savings and community support, TNG Digital aims to make a positive difference where it matters most.
