TNG Digital pledge to trust and ethical innovation in the digital economy

Sep 3, 2025

TNG Digital Sdn. Bhd. (‘TNG Digital’), the operator of TNG eWallet, Malaysia’s preferred digital financial services and lifestyle app, today signed the Corruption-Free Pledge (Ikrar Bebas Rasuah, IBR) witnessed by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission ('MACC'), marking a significant milestone in its commitment to integrity, transparency, and responsible innovation. The pledge reflects TNG Digital’s proactive stance in supporting the nation’s anti-corruption efforts and strengthening the trust of over 24 million users and 2 million merchants across Malaysia.

As a digital platform that plays an essential role in managing money, services, and everyday transactions for millions, TNG Digital is reinforcing its responsibility to operate with full accountability. The company’s voluntary pledge with MACC serves as a public affirmation that ethical conduct is not only a core value, but a shared responsibility embedded into every aspect of its operations.

Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital, emphasised that “Trust is at the heart of everything we do. Signing this pledge is our way of demonstrating that integrity is not just a box we tick, it’s something we live by. As a company built to serve all Malaysians, we have a duty to protect what matters most: their money, their data, and their peace of mind. Our purpose has always been to build inclusive, reliable solutions, and doing so ethically is central to earning lasting confidence from our users, merchants, partners, and the wider community.”

The pledge is not a standalone act but part of a wider cultural shift within TNG Digital. Senior leadership is driving a top-down commitment to embed ethics into daily decision-making. All employees, including management, are being equipped through phased training to recognise, report, and prevent misconduct. Employees are encouraged to act with honesty and speak up early, contributing to a workplace where doing the right thing is expected, not exceptional.

SAC Westmoreland Ajom, Head of the Private Sector Branch, Community Education Division, MACC, in his speech applauded TNG Digital Sdn. Bhd.’s commitment to strengthening integrity through the Corruption-Free Pledge and the recent three-day anti-corruption workshop. “These initiatives reflect a strong tone from the top and align with the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) 2024–2028. MACC also encourages TNG Digital to explore community-based CSR collaborations, which can enhance public awareness of integrity while delivering both social and organisational value. Through these initiatives, TNG Digital will emerge as a benchmark for the fintech and digital industry in fostering a trusted and transparent digital economy for Malaysia.”

Through this pledge, TNG Digital is strengthening collaboration with MACC to help shape Malaysia’s anti-corruption agenda. The company aligns its internal policies with the TRUST Principles under the Corporate Liability Section 17A of the MACC Act 2009 and actively engages with regulators, local authorities, and industry peers to raise the bar on ethical conduct across the digital economy. As one of the most widely used digital platforms in the country, TNG Digital is committed to leading by example and promoting a more transparent, fair, and accountable ecosystem.

By taking this stand, TNG Digital continues to lead with purpose, showing that innovation and integrity go hand in hand, and that trust is not just promised but built into everything it does. Learn more: https://www.touchngo.com.my/ewallet/security-centre/macc/
