Duties & Responsibilities

  • I. Project Discipline & Resource Management
  • Define, implement, and enforce an Agile/Scrum framework tailored for AI projects (MLOps), ensuring timely delivery and clear scoping.
  • Develop and manage the DataAI Project Portfolio, prioritizing initiatives based on strategic alignment, feasibility, and expected ROI.
  • Conduct detailed resource planning, allocating data scientists, ML engineers, and BI developers across projects to meet business priorities.
  • Take full ownership of project delivery, resolve challenges, align stakeholders, and ensure all objectives are met on time and to high standards. Promote accountability and continuous improvement to achieve successful AI and automation outcomes.
  • II. Financial Oversight & Impact Measurement
  • Own project Cost Management, accurately forecasting, tracking, and reporting on cloud computing expenditure (especially compute/storage for training models & LLM expenses).
  • Standardize the methodology for calculating and tracking Project Impact (ROI), linking model performance metrics (e.g., accuracy, lift) directly to business KPI (e.g., call deflection rate, revenue uplift).
  • Create regular executive-level reports detailing project status, financial performance, and business value realization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years managing complex AI/Data Science projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MLOps practices and the risks associated with production ML systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in CBA and project benefits tracking (such as ROI calculation).
  • Project management certifications (such as PMP, Scrum Master) are considered an advantage.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), particularly billing and resource management, is preferred.
