Supports the Head of Financial Intelligence & Transformation in driving the execution of the Finance Transformation Roadmap through technology, automation, analytics, and new ways of working. This role acts as a deputy to the Head of FIT, translating strategy into execution, leading key initiatives, and ensuring delivery outcomes. The role requires strong Finance domain knowledge, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to drive change across teams. The role will also play a critical role in mentoring and developing junior team members, building capabilities in analytics, automation, and digital finance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Finance Transformation Delivery
Support the Head of FIT in executing the Finance Transformation Roadmap aligned to business priorities.
Lead end-to-end delivery of transformation initiatives across automation, analytics, and process optimisation.
Break down strategic initiatives into actionable workplans, timelines, and deliverables.
Track progress, risks, and dependencies to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
2. Technology & Data Enablement
Identify and implement practical technology solutions (e.g. automation tools, analytics platforms, dashboards) to improve finance processes.
Work closely with Technology and Data teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture.
Support the development of reliable, accessible, and real-time finance data to enable better decision-making.
3. Process Improvement & Automation
Drive simplification and standardisation of finance processes (e.g. reporting, reconciliations, planning workflows).
Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve efficiency through automation.
Ensure appropriate controls, governance, and compliance are embedded in redesigned processes.
4. Business Insights & Decision Support
Support the shift of Finance towards forward-looking insights and decision support.
Develop dashboards, analysis, and reporting to enhance visibility of business performance.
Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
5. Change Management & Adoption
Drive adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working across Finance.
Support change management activities including communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.
Act as a change agent to promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
6. Team Leadership & Capability Building
Mentor and develop junior team members in areas such as:
Data analysis and storytelling
Automation and tools
Structured problem solving
Provide guidance, coaching, and quality review of team outputs.
Support the Head of FIT in building a future-ready Finance team with strong digital and analytical capabilities.
7. Stakeholder Management
Work closely with Finance, Technology, and Business teams to ensure alignment and delivery of initiatives.
Act as a key point of contact in the absence of the Head of FIT when required.
Support vendor and partner coordination for transformation initiatives.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Technology, or related field
8–12 years of experience in Finance, FP&A, consulting, or transformation roles
Strong understanding of finance processes, controls, and governance
Proven experience delivering projects or initiatives (transformation / automation preferred)
Hands-on experience with finance systems, data, or analytics tools is an advantage
Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
