Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop clear and engaging Bahasa Malaysia copy for marketing campaigns across multiple channels including digital, social media, key visuals, and on-ground activations.
  • Translate complex financial or product messages into simple and relatable Bahasa Malaysia that is easy for everyday Malaysians to understand and relate to.
  • Ensure messaging connects with grassroots communities and audiences in non urban areas.
  • Collaborate with designers, brand, and marketing teams to develop ideas that combine strong visuals with impactful copy.
  • Support marketing communications campaigns including campaign messaging, content development, and communication planning.
  • Adapt tone and messaging based on channel, context, and audience to maximise clarity and engagement.
  • Research audience insights, language trends, and cultural nuances to ensure copy remains relevant and authentic.
  • Support campaign ideation and brainstorming to develop creative concepts that resonate with everyday Malaysians.
  • Maintain consistency with brand voice while ensuring content feels natural and relatable.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in copywriting, advertising, and digital marketing to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in marketing communications, content, or copywriting roles.
  • Excellent writing skills in Bahasa Malaysia, with strong ability to write in a natural and conversational tone.
  • Strong ability to simplify complex ideas into clear and easy to understand messages.
  • Good understanding of how people communicate across different community and digital platforms.
  • Ability to adapt tone and style based on audience and channel.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with creative and marketing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
