The Head of AML/CFT Compliance is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT), Targeted Financial Sanctions (TFS), and Counter-Proliferation Financing (CPF) regulations. This role ensures the effective implementation of compliance policies, governance frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization from financial crime risks. The incumbent will also manage law enforcement agency (LEA) orders, sanctions screening, and AML governance while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.

Requirements
Minimum bachelor’s degree in law, Banking, Finance, or a related field.
At least 9 years of experience in AML/CFT compliance, preferably in the financial services or fintech sector.
In-depth understanding, knowledge and expertise of AML/CFT legislation, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
Proven experience in managing interactions with regulators and law enforcement agencies.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and regulatory bodies.
Ability to assess complex compliance issues and provide pragmatic, risk-based solutions.
Proactive in identifying and addressing compliance gaps before escalation.
High commitment to ethical conduct and financial crime compliance.
Willingness to challenge norms and escalate compliance risks when necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging senior management and the Board.
Strong negotiation skills to drive compliance initiatives and influence key stakeholders.
