Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in line with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain proper and relevant finance policies and SOPs in line with IFRS and MFRS.
Oversee the general ledger, ensuring proper recording of all financial transactions.
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations, accruals, allocations, with the objective of ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Key liaison person with internal and external auditors to ensure audit objectives are achieved in an orderly and timely manner.
Drive process standardization and optimization to eliminate inefficiency adding value throughout entire chain of finance processes.
In charge of monthly and annual financial reporting to the group.
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable:
Responsible for activities related to creating, processing and monitoring of accounts payable and receivable. This includes:
Invoicing, cash allocation/application, reporting on aged receivables from customers;
Monitoring payables to vendors locally, and overseas, resolving discrepancies with vendors, working closely with treasury to pay on time in scheduled cycles with overseas obligations appropriately hedged.
Reporting on aged payables to vendors.
Collaborate with vendors, partners and relevant stakeholders resolving any issues and escalating issues, if any.
Ensuring compliance with all statutory tax requirements with regards to billing and payment, such as sales and service tax, import duties, withholding tax, etc. (if any)
Treasury Management and Prefund Operations:
Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily balances to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
Funding Needs: Manage short and long-term funding, optimizing capital structure.
Cash Strategies: Develop efficient cash management and minimize financial risks.
Bank Relations: Negotiate favorable terms with banks for loans, credit lines, and fees.
Maximize Cash Revenue: Optimize idle cash and improve investment returns.
Bank Account Setup: Maintain bank account structures and ensure compliance.
Regulatory Compliance: Follow internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Project Prefunding: Monitor prefunding level from partner(s) and ensure timely request of prefund top up from partner(s).
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field and/or;
Member of recognized professional accounting body, i.e. MIA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW or equivalent
8+ years of progressive hands-on operational finance and audit as well as treasury experience. Experience in a money services business will be highly advantageous.
Familiar with major ERP systems
