Assistant Manager, Accounting & Reporting

Job Description
  • In charge of general ledger daily posting. Check daily CBO in staging table and posting to GP, then perform daily reconciliation against FIN004D.
  • Assist in monthly closing and yearly closing of management report (company level). This included prepare of month end journal entries such as accrual of expenses and provisions, depreciation run and maintain of fixed asset listing.
  • Assist in monthly group consolidation and quarterly reporting packages. This included prepare of monthly inter-company transactions and ICP journal, and Basel III reporting.
  • In charge of related company matters including prepare of monthly confirmation, EBSA billing/invoice and charge back (admin).
  • In charge of monthly directors’ fees and allowances billing and payment.
  • In charge of monthly BNM reporting Comparison between CBO last card balance & Bank A/C – indicative.
  • Analyse and finalise the month-end closing and resolve any outstanding issues in relation to inventory.
  • Participate in quarterly and yearly stock take exercise.
  • Assist in ensuring timely completion of all monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and clear the unreconciling/long-outstanding items on time.
  • Assist in ensuring timely completion of all monthly profit and loss analysis.
  • Assist in preparation of income tax computation schedules, interim and year-end financial audit schedules.
  • Liaise with inter-department and other departments on financial and accounting matters.
  • Report and highlight to immediate supervisor on any non-compliance of procedures and/or anomalies in any reporting tasks.
  • Work with team closely and back up team member on daily task when required.
  • Perform any other duties or tasks assigned by superior as and when required.
  • Responsible for other special and ad-hoc assignment and related duties as specified by the superiors from time to time
  • Can-do attitude, able to attend to ad-hoc work requests and willing to commit to occasional long hours
  • Manage to work within tight deadline
  • Monitor and review executive’s work timely
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Professional accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA / MICPA / CPA)
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business
  • Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
  • At least 3-5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Candidate who possesses minimum 1-2 years in audit experience is an added advantage
  • Technical sound in accounting and reporting standards, financial statutory requirements and possess good knowledge in Malaysian taxation
  • Mature, self-motivated, result oriented and able to work as a team member
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Able to guide and supervise subordinates, multi-task, manage resource usage efficiently and prioritise task for timely completion
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Possess good business acumen
