Man Kai Nin, Kenny


Kai Nin Kenny Man was appointed as a board member for TNG Digital on 16 March 2018. He is also Head, International Investments at Ant Group. He has more than 20 years of extensive management consulting, operational and investment experience from a wide range of businesses and e-commerce companies. He rejoined Ant Group in 2015 and began to ramp up the globalization strategy by investing or establishing partnerships with Paytm (India), Ascend Money (Thailand), Dana (Indonesia), GCash(Philippines), Alipay HK (Hong Kong), TNG Digital (Malaysia), Gcash(Philippines), Bkash (Bangladesh), KakaoPay (Korea) etc.

Prior to that, Kenny was a Senior Investment Director at Vision Knight Capital, a USD800 million asset under management private equity firm. He has led the project from deal execution, supporting the Company’s listing and finally sold the company to Baidu for USD 1.9 billion (at that time were the largest internet Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) in China). He has also been leading the deal which supports the Company to list in the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

Prior to Vision Knight Capital, Kenny was the Director of Investment & Acquisition team. He built the international M&A team; while completing multiple deals during his tenure, he did the first overseas acquisition deal for Alibaba and the first acquisition for Alipay.  His deals included Vendio, Auctiva, and Singlefeed in US and Oncard Payments in China. He also worked in the Corporate Finance team in Alibaba Group prior to joining the investment team and was deeply involved in the IPO deal. Prior to Alibaba, Kenny was the Bottling Operations Planning Manager, assisting the Chief Operating Officer of Pepsi China on strategic and operational planning and was the Market Development Manager, overseeing the restaurant market in Hong Kong and Macau. Before Pepsi, Kenny worked in Mckinsey & Company in the Corporate Finance and Strategy Practice, advising Multi-National Corporations on their China growth strategy and potential synergies on M&A.

Kenny received an Executive Master of Business Administration, Joint Degree program in the Kellogg School of Management, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in University of British Columbia.
