Leading the defence against scammers
Although only required by banks, Touch 'n Go eWallet volunteered to also implement all five of Bank Negara Malaysia's mandatory security measures against scams because your safety is our priority. We have reinforced our security and implemented the following measures:
1. Migrating from SMS one-time password (OTP) to face verification
2. Tightening ‘fraud rules’ and blocking suspicious transactions
3. Restricting authentication to one primary device for one-tap approvals
4. Verification and cooling-off period for first-time enrolment of services, secure device, or profile document
5. A dedicated hotline for incident reports and scam suspicions
