Head of Compliance, Integrity & Governance

Background

Nasir Hassan was appointed as Head of Compliance, Integrity and Governance for Touch ‘n Go on 1 August 2023. He has more than 24 years of experience in banking industry related the areas of banking regulations, compliance and risk management. In his current roles at Touch ‘n Go, Nasir leads the department in providing strategic, advisory, and implementation of internal control framework related to various regulatory requirements including on AML/CFT in ensuring sustainable and positive business activities and growth of Touch ‘n Go.

Prior to joining Touch ‘n Go, Nasir spent more than 10 years in BNP Paribas Malaysia Berhad serving as Chief Compliance Officer for almost 5 years and the remaining years as Chief Risk Officer where he was accountable and responsible for the implementation and execution of various internal control elements related to Compliance and Risk areas. Prior to BNP Paribas Malaysia Berhad, Nasir served as Compliance Officer for Bank of America Malaysia Berhad as well as for Asia Pacific region under Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Singapore. In addition, Nasir has an extensive work experience in banking regulations when he worked with Bank Negara Malaysia.

His qualifications include Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economic and Social Studies from University of Manchester UK, and Chartered Banker from Chartered Banker Institute UK and AICB.
