Mee Fong was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer, Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd effective 1 July 2023. In her new role, she will be responsible for implementing finance strategic initiatives to drive growth and profitability of the business and delivering measurable improvements across multiple performance metrics. The finance initiatives will include data driven finance strategy, operational efficiency and resilience and building a collaborative partnership working model with businesses to deliver values for the organisation.

Prior to joining Touch ‘n Go, Mee Fong was a Managing Director in CIMB, heading the Business Planning and Analytics department in CIMB Digital Assets (CDA) where she was responsible for the overall financial planning and management of CIMB Group’s Strategic digital investments including the Touch ‘n Go franchise and digital bank operations in the Philippines and Vietnam. She worked with the businesses in all spectrums including budgeting and forecast, financial modelling and analysis, tax and capital planning, structuring, risk management, compliance and audit management.

Her involvement in Touch ‘n Go through CDA has provided her with valuable insights into our operations and overall direction, making her transition a seamless one, ensuring the smooth continuation of the finance function, strategy, and overall financial management.

Prior to joining CIMB, Mee Fong was in professional practice with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where she was in charge of assurance and consulting assignments covering segments such as local banks, offshore banks, asset management companies, unit trust funds, oil and gas companies, manufacturing and services companies, for both local corporates and MNCs. She was seconded to the Securities Commission in 2004 where she was responsible for the examination of asset management companies in accordance with the Securities Industry Act.

Mee Fong also serves on the board of Capital Advisors Partners and is an active member in the Investment Committee of an infrastructure fund which manages assets across Asia including Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Philippines, and Vietnam. Most recently, she was appointed to the Board of Principal Asset Management, effective 1 May 23.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), and a Certified Practising Accountant of CPA Australia.
