RE: RESPONSE TO THE MALAY MAIL HOTLINE QUERY 1st DECEMBER 2006
The appointment of independent reload agents, e.g. Petronas, is to further expand the Touch ‘n Go reload network for the convenience of our customers. Unlike the Service Providers, e.g. PLUS, Prolintas and other highway concessionaires, which offers the reload service for free, the surcharge of 50 sen is to cover these independent agents’ operating cost.
The same surcharge of 50 sen also applies for other reload facilities at ATM machines. For auto-reload facility via the Touch 'n Go Zing cards with the respective bank’s credit card, a surcharge of RM2 is imposed.
