ARTICLE “TOUCH 'N GO FEE IS TOO HIGH” , THE STAR, FOCUS, 9 September 2010 |
|
We refer to the response made by P.T Aman (7 September 2010) on the article titled “Time’s up for 283,000 Touch ‘n Go cardholders” published in The Star dated 5 September 2010.
Touch ‘n Go Cards, are contactless smartcards that transmits data at a distance of up to 10 cm. The cards, as any other electronic devices, are also prone to normal wear and tear. Therefore, customers are encouraged to change their old cards in order to avoid service disruptions especially at toll lanes and LRT gates. The card replacement process can be done at our Service Hubs and the entire process is simple, where cards are replaced immediately and the remaining balance (minus the card fee) will be transferred instantly to the new card. The 10 years expiry period can also be considered relatively long compared to the other smartcard operators.
For their convenience, customers can check their card expiry date at our official website at www.touchngo.com.my
As an option, we would also like to recommend for customers whose MyKad IDs come with Touch ‘n Go application to use their MyKad instead of buying new Touch ‘n Go card.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
TOUCH ‘N GO SDN. BHD.
